PADI Try a Freedive Course

What:

Our PADI ‘Try a Freedive’ course is designed to give you a taste of freediving without entering the ocean. This course includes theory, product education, a breath workshop, meditation and a confined water session (pool work).
Our pool work allows our students to attempt static breath holds and dynamic apnea under the close and nurturing guidance of our instructor. Where applicable, our instructor will give technique feedback and coach students to reach their goals.
At the conclusion of this course, students who meet the PADI requirements will be certified as a PADI Basic Freediver.

Where/when:

Dates are confirmed collaboratively with students. Once you have booked, you will be offered a choice of dates. Courses are run over a weekend.

Itinerary:

9:15am: Adreno, 3-9 Rawlins St, Southport.
11:30am: Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Southport.

Bring:

Snacks, water, sunscreen, wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins. Camera is optional however a photo package is included in your booking.

Taylor McKeown: PADI advanced freedive instructor, Olympic swimmer and animal ecologist.

Prior Prerequisites:

It is assumed that all beginner freediver course students have the ability to swim at least 200m and know how to use a snorkel, mask and fins. We do not have time on our courses to teach students to snorkel, so please ensure you know how, before purchasing a course.

PADI eLearning modules are to be completed prior to day 1. These will be emailed to you.

Please ensure your medical form is completed and returned prior to your course commencement.
