✔️ Be comfortable in the open ocean, where the seafloor may not be visible and swell and current may be present.
✔️ Have a sense of adventure, fun, and bring good vibes!
✔️ Respect the island, its culture, and follow all rules and regulations.
(If deep water makes you a little nervous, don’t worry! You'll have access to flotation devices and two experienced safety guides. Plus, once you see a whale in the water, any fears of the deep completely disappear—trust us!)

Taylor has been whale swimming since 2016 and snorkel guiding since 2017. Her experience in the water is extensive, having competed for Australia in swimming from 2010 to 2022, winning medals at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships.
Taylor’s freediving journey began in 2017, and in 2021, she became a PADI Advanced Freediving Instructor. Beyond her skills in the water, Taylor holds a degree in Animal Ecology, specialising in marine life, conservation, and animal behaviour. Her deep understanding of the ocean, combined with her athletic background, makes her an exceptional guide for unforgettable marine life encounters.

Daniel Griffiths, aka “Pickles”, is our French-speaking translator, troubleshooter, trusted van driver, shopper, helper, and all-round MVP. Of Polynesian descent, Daniel grew up on Norfolk Island and became fluent in French while attending primary school in New Caledonia.
Daniel is the go-to person for anything you need—whether it’s assistance, transport, or French translation, he’s got you covered. He’s also available to assist in the water, bringing his master freediving skills and lifelong connection to the ocean, having lived between New Caledonia and Norfolk Island.
